Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Night shift) position at a short-term acute care hospital in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and active Epic proficiency.

• Short-term acute care hospital setting, MS/Tele unit (2 East)
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to a sister campus location
• No on-call responsibilities
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Block scheduling is not available for this position

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from both the main campus and the sister campus to be eligible
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Pre-start orientation modules must be completed prior to the first day (estimated 4–10 hours)
• RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract
• Only one holiday off can be approved per contract
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
• Night shift travelers may extend up to twice before being required to leave for at least 6 months prior to returning
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the main campus are not accepted
