Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel contract in Washington State, requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Adult and pediatric emergency department setting with 40 total beds, including 29 standard beds and 11 hallway beds
- Unit encompasses ambulance triage, ED holding, and lobby triage
- Skilled procedures include breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPap, procedural sedation, RSI, trach care/vents, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, CRRT/dialysis, 12-lead EKG, and rapid infuser
- EMR: Epic (required)
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, with start times ranging from 1900–0730
- Schedule posted every 6 weeks
- Every other weekend required
- Floating between all facilities within Washington State is expected and required
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Minimum 1 year of emergency department RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Must be open to floating between all facilities within the state
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment
- Minimal to no RTO is expected for this position; excessive RTO requests may negatively impact candidacy
- Any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed, including location and dates
