Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a large inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience with a psychiatric background and comfort floating across multiple units.
Details
- Work takes place in a 337-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital
- Float Pool position covering all 19 inpatient units, including units serving children, adolescents, and adults
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating across units is required and expected
- No on-call responsibilities
- Charting is done in Sunrise EMR
- Free parking available throughout the campus
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Active RN license – Maryland or Compact license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- At least 6 months to 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health experience required
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start
Additional Information
- Nurses will float across all 19 inpatient units and are expected to serve as some of the more experienced clinicians on each unit
- May be required to serve as charge RN during a shift
- 13-week contract
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Up to 1 pre-approved RTO request allowed for the duration of the contract
