Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a night shift Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics position at an IU Health facility in Indiana.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend work is required
- 13-week contract
- Floating required between multiple affiliated hospital campuses
- Cerner charting experience is required
Requirements
- Current RRT credential through the NBRC
- Active Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
- Current AHA or RQI certifications: ACLS and BLS (must be current)
- Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience (within 2 years total)
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates; local candidates are accepted at a lower pay package for Allied positions
- Any current or former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month break in employment before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Candidates must confirm comfort with and awareness of the every-other-weekend requirement prior to consideration
