Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Worcester, MA, requiring a minimum of 2.5 years of ICU experience and hands-on mechanical circulatory support experience.
Details
- Cardiac surgery ICU setting managing vascular surgery, cardiac medicine, advanced heart failure, and mechanical circulatory support patients
- Mechanical circulatory support devices used include IABP, Impella, ECMO, and durable VAD
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- Floating to other adult ICUs required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Scheduling is based on unit needs — block schedules cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; conditional MA license accepted if actively pursuing permanent licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2.5 years of ICU experience required
- Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience required
- Hands-on mechanical circulatory support experience required (IABP, Impella, ECMO, durable VAD)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Candidates with any prior disciplinary action on their nursing license are not eligible for consideration
Additional Information
- Must pass a pass/fail EKG test at orientation (one attempt allowed)
- Must pass a pass/fail telemetry test at orientation (one attempt allowed)
- Contract lengths of 13, 20, or 26 weeks are accepted
- Minimal time off requests are preferred, ideally no more than 3–5 days per contract
