Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring telemetry experience, Cerner EMR proficiency, and a minimum of 6 months of travel nursing experience.
Details
- Inpatient Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Telemetry monitoring required for patient population
- Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (SC or Compact) — no pending licenses accepted
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- CPI certification required — must be the Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience in a U.S. hospital required
- Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 6 months of travel nurse experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments, including review of systems, and documents findings per policy
- Delivers age-appropriate, competent care to patients and families in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
