Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- 13-week contract with night shift hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 15-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit with all patients on continuous telemetry monitoring
- Patient population includes cardiac, stroke, and progressive care patients
- Unit is staffed with RNs and PCTs
- Hospital provides 24/7 hospitalist coverage along with ER and respiratory therapy support
Requirements
- Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact state
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and management of cardiac drips
- Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and maintain a US home address
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Skills checklist required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering care to assigned PCU/stepdown patients
- Local candidates are welcome to apply, though a radius rule applies that may affect the travel pay rate — the applicable radius varies by state
