Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience with telemetry and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

Details

  • Position is based in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a major academic medical center in Ohio
  • Night shift schedule: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required, specifically Friday and Saturday nights
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Previous telemetry experience required
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips required
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
  • Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation
  • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot exceed 7 days
  • All candidates are required to complete an Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon accepting the position; detailed instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
  • Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff through CampusParc (osu.campusparc.com), ranging from full-access garage permits to budget surface lot options with shuttle service to the medical center
