Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Saginaw, MI, requiring Neuro PCU experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:15 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Floating to other PCU and Med/Surg floors as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (must reflect Active status on LARA and/or Nursys)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last 2 years required for consideration
• Skills checklist current within the last year, pertinent to PCU specialty, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs ongoing patient assessments and delivers skilled nursing care in accordance with evidence-based practice standards
• Administers medications, performs treatments, provides patient education, and responds to alarms and call lights
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized patient care plans
• Functions as a team leader and resource, delegating and directing support staff as appropriate
• Recent travel work history is highly preferred
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible; local candidates may complete only one 13-week contract at this facility
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
