- Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
- EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact RN license with SC privilege — must already be in hand
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
- Stepdown/PCU experience is required due to floating responsibilities
- Proficient IV start skills required
- Clean license and background — no license or background hits will be accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Preferred skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access and management, blood product administration, central and PICC line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), tracheostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), heparin protocols, PCA management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Ortho-specific experience is a plus, including total joint replacement, traction, ortho trauma, and peripheral nerve block catheter management
- Cardiac experience preferred, including post-MI care, pre/post cardiac cath, post cardiac angiogram, and pacemaker management
- Scrubs are not provided — royal blue or white scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel experience is preferred but not required
- Prior employees must have been gone at least 1 year and must have departed in good standing to be eligible
- All RTO must be approved before the assignment begins — minimal or no RTO is strongly preferred, especially early in the assignment; any unapproved RTO requested after the assignment starts will not be guaranteed

Pros
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and I always knew what the next step was, i never felt like i was left in the dark. One of my favorite things has been how communicative everyone is. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
