Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care assignment performing routine MRI imaging on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Acute care hospital MRI department with 1 scanner/room
• Routine MRI imaging performed; no cardiac MRI
• Average of 15 scans/studies per day
• Equipment used includes a Siemens Sola MRI scanner
• EMR systems include Cerner (transitioning to Epic), Syngo Workflow for RIS, and Sectra PACS
• 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 PM
• No weekend or holiday coverage required
• No call or standby requirement
• Floating to other areas is optional and only if the candidate has the appropriate credentials

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS and ARRT (MRI) certifications required
• Must be able to start IVs
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform routine MRI imaging studies with an on-site radiologist available most of the time
• Department orientation includes MRI safety training
• Scrubs are provided on-site; personal scrubs are also permitted with no color restrictions
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months and require facility approval before being considered
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced pay rate
• 2 references are required for consideration: 1 from a supervisor and 1 from a peer or supervisor within the relevant specialty
