Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 16-week travel contract, with rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and on-call, requiring 2+ years of IR/Special Procedures experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department in an acute care hospital setting
- 10-hour day shifts with rotating start times of 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, or 8:00 AM
- 40 hours per week with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- On-call responsibilities are required
- 16-week contract with consideration for 20 or 26-week assignments
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing interventional and special radiographic procedures
- Hybrid IR experience preferred; Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional experience a plus
- ARRT R.T.(R) Radiography Registry required
- Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional registry by ARRT required, or registry-eligible with commitment to obtain within 6 months of start
- Active BLS and/or ACLS certification required
- Connecticut State Radiography license required if applicable
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic equipment, radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Additional Information
- Performs interventional and special radiographic procedures in a hybrid IR environment
- Staff are included in the unit rotation pool and may be required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to ensure coverage
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 75 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
- An interview with the hiring manager is required for consideration
