Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Circulator for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR circulating experience and current WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit with 7 OR rooms in a Level III trauma hospital
• Circulating role covering General, GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Urology, Podiatry, and Da Vinci Robot cases
• Serves all patient ages
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EHR
• Uses specialized equipment including Zeiss microscope, Aquablation, Holmium laser, total joints and ortho spine instrumentation, and Da Vinci robot
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend with potential for additional coverage
• On-call requirement of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
• Interdepartmental floating as needed

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN OR circulating experience required
• Experience circulating in General, GYN, Vascular, Ortho, Urology, Podiatry, and Da Vinci Robot cases
• CNOR certification preferred
• OR Scrub/Circulator experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provides circulating support across a wide range of surgical specialties in a facility performing da Vinci Robotic, spine, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, interventional pain management, interventional cardiology, gynecological, general, oral, urological, eye, and trauma/emergency surgeries
• Facility is Joint Commission accredited and offers nursing and allied health student training programs
• Standard OR attire scrubs supplied by facility; casual wear and other facility-branded attire not permitted
• Professional, collaborative candidates with strong communication skills preferred
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered a travel assignment
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Biweekly orientation held on Wednesdays
