Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior ER experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
• 40-bed unit treating all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric cases
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses EPIC EHR system
• Varied shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Weekend hours required on an every-other-weekend basis
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; CEN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Trauma and critical care experience preferred
• Basic nursing skills required
• Team player personality fit preferred
• PA-specific clearances required prior to start, including Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Drug screen completed within 90 days accepted
• MMR immunization required with no declinations accepted

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a full range of patient populations and acuities
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Any scrub color is acceptable for dress code
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
