Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior ER experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital
- 40-bed unit treating all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric cases
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses EPIC EHR system
- Varied shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Weekend hours required on an every-other-weekend basis
- No on-call requirements
- No floating requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; CEN preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Trauma and critical care experience preferred
- Basic nursing skills required
- Team player personality fit preferred
- PA-specific clearances required prior to start, including Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS Fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
- Drug screen completed within 90 days accepted
- MMR immunization required with no declinations accepted
Additional Information
- Provide emergency nursing care across a full range of patient populations and acuities
- Weekly orientation held on Mondays
- Any scrub color is acceptable for dress code
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
