Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist with 1+ years of acute care experience for a Days shift assignment providing inpatient rehab services in a New Mexico hospital.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with inpatient rehabilitation and swing bed units
- 99-bed facility including 10 inpatient rehab beds and 15 swing beds
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p with one Saturday per month
- Holiday coverage required
- No floating required
- No call required
- EMR system used is MedHost
Requirements
- Current OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
- Acute care experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- New Mexico state OT licensure required
- Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of assignment start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform OT evaluations, develop and implement treatment plans, and modify age-appropriate care programs
- Attend care plan meetings and participate in discharge planning
- Perform administrative duties and participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Pursue ongoing professional growth and development
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Requests for time off must be less than one week in duration
- Travelers who worked as permanent staff at this facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for consideration
