Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and TNCC certification.

Details

• Emergency Department unit in a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
• Level III Trauma Center and certified Chest Pain Center
• 24-bed ED with a mixed medical patient population including geriatric, adult, and some pediatric patients
• Patient acuity varies; older population is predominant
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Equipment includes ultrasound, Belmont Transfuser, Baxter IV pumps, Glidescope, BD IV products, and GE monitors in every room
• EMR: MedHost EDIS experience
• Night shift schedule: 7PM–7AM, 3x12s
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required within a 25-mile radius of the facility

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and TNCC
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Trauma and STEMI experience required
• Associate's degree (AA) in Nursing required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is Joint Commission accredited
• Black scrubs required
• Weekly orientation provided
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay
• Candidates who have worked permanently at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Lake Havasu City offers outdoor recreation including fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking, with scenic mountain and lake views
• Conveniently located near Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon National Park (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
