Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Pediatric OR RN for a 20-week travel contract at a prestigious children's hospital in Chicago, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Pediatric Operating Room unit within a large children's hospital setting
- 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Weekend call is required, with 7 call days per month including 1 weekend
- Holiday coverage is required
- No floating required
- Epic EMR in use
- Standard OR equipment including defibrillator
- 7-member cardiac team in the department
Requirements
- Active AR or compact RN license, with a permanent IL RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS and PALS (AHA-issued)
- Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Previous travel experience is not required
- All candidates must be nicotine-free
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers required — declinations are not accepted
- At least 1 professional reference within the last year required for consideration
- Specialty skills checklist required for consideration
