Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a day-shift hospital assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department that does not perform nuclear cardiology exams
- Adult patient population
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Uses Siemens and Philips equipment
- Epic charting system preferred
- May float to like units within scope as needed, with brief orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- ARRT (N) and NMTCB certification required in hand
- BLS certification required
- PET certification preferred
- License required if applicable
- Experience with SPECT imaging including bone, brain, liver, renal, and thyroid studies
- Experience with bone scans (3 phase, limited, whole body), I-123 uptake scans, cerebral blood flow, and cancer surveys
- Experience with lung scans (DTPA aerosol, perfusion, ventilation/perfusion) and renal flow studies
- Experience with gastric emptying, HIDA scans, PET scans, and liver/spleen imaging
- Proficient in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Former staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
