Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT Mammography certification for a travel assignment at an academic teaching hospital in Illinois.

Details

• Both inpatient and outpatient mammography settings
• Procedures include screening and diagnostic mammograms, 3D mammography, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, and fine needle aspiration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call required
• Travelers may be asked to float to a different unit or facility within the health system at the manager's request

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program
• ARRT (R) and ARRT Mammography (M) certification required
• Illinois IEMA accreditation required (can be obtained during the compliance process, approximately 2–4 weeks)
• BLS certification required through AHA
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Academic teaching hospital experience preferred
• Illinois license required — emergency and pending licenses are not accepted
• Skills checklist and 2 references required for consideration, including one reference from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year

Additional Information

• Perform isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols as part of daily practice
• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a local rate
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and cannot be added afterward
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Previous employees of Northwestern Medicine or any of its acquired facilities must include that employment in their work history
