Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Float Pool Progressive Care Unit position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU/cardiac experience in a large, high-volume facility.

Details

• Float pool position covering all PCU/IMCU floors with a primarily cardiac patient population
• Patient conditions include STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiac/thoracic surgery (CTS), and chest pain (C/P)
• Manages cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit for lower-acuity cases
• Patient ratio of 1:3–4
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or similar cardiac nursing experience in a comparable-sized facility
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
• Epic EMR experience

• This facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center — candidates must have a demonstrated background managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Minimal RTO (requested time off) will be approved for this assignment
