Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN Circulator for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2 years of recent OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedics, vascular, robotics, and ENT.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include orthopedics, vascular, GYN, robotics, ENT, and general surgery
• Rotating 36/48 schedule: alternating weeks of 3x12 and 4x12 shifts, totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Day shift hours: 7:15 AM – 5:45 PM
• On-call required every 4th weekend and two nights per week
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Da Vinci Xi Surgical System used for robotic cases

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• AVADE certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR circulator experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in orthopedic, vascular, GYN, robotic, ENT, and general surgical cases required
• 2 professional references required: 1 charge nurse or higher, 1 supervisor — both completed within the last year
• Valid driver's license with address matching permanent address required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Circulator responsibilities across a broad range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecologic, orthopedic, general, ENT, robotic, endoscopic, and trauma cases
• Proficiency expected in laser safety, radiation safety, universal protocol, conscious sedation monitoring, specimen handling, and infection control
• Travelers must reside at least 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested; RTO must be declared upfront and no changes will be accepted after submission
• Must be available to work at least one major or minor holiday per assignment
• Travelers who have worked within the system for one year must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license discrepancies or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
