Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a Level III Trauma Center in Gallatin, TN, requiring at least 1 year of MS/Tele experience and active TN or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit (MED/SURG A5) within a 167-bed, Level III Trauma Center hospital
  • Serves a mixed adult patient population of all ages
  • MS/Tele experience and IV insertion skills required for daily patient care
  • Omnicell used for medication dispensing
  • Meditech EHR in use
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required, with additional weekend hours as needed
  • On-call required on an as-needed basis
  • Floating to similar Med/Surg units required on an as-needed basis
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state license or compact license) required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications required; all must be in hand prior to start
  • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) experience required
  • IV insertion experience required
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Additional Information

  • Tennessee Abuse Registry check required and must be cleared prior to assignment start
  • Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
  • Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
  • Local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are not eligible for this travel position

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and I always knew what the next step was, i never felt like i was left in the dark. One of my favorite things has been how communicative everyone is. Whether it’s my recruiter, Amanda, or Iranna from payroll, I always get a quick response when I have a question. It’s nice working with a team that actually follows up and keeps you in the loop. Amanda has been awesome throughout my assignment. She checks in regularly with a call or text just to see how things are going and make sure I don’t need anything. That level of support has really stood out to me. I’m rly happy I chose American Traveler for my first assignment, and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again.
