Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in North Carolina, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience with night shift availability and AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Details
- General Emergency Department serving a combined adult and pediatric population
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with the option to flex to 4x12 when available
- Every other weekend (EOW) required at minimum
- Holiday coverage required
- Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management are part of the unit's scope
- EMR system is Meditech; experience preferred but not required
- Floating within the hospital may be required
Requirements
- Active NC RN license or compact RN license; must be at least pending with a clear ETA
- Current AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- CPI/CIC certification preferred; can be obtained on-site for assignments extending beyond 3 months
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; 3 years preferred
- Proficiency in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and IV vasopressor management
- Experience with triage, neurological assessment, and CVA care
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license and SSN documentation required
- Background policy disclosure required prior to consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with 3 or more years of ER experience will be considered
- Local candidates are accepted with no change to the bill rate
- Current or former employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- Travelers must complete required lab work within 72 hours of signing the contract
- RTO requests must be disclosed upfront during the consideration process
