Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Marshalltown, IA, requiring 24 months of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience and the ability to independently read and measure telemetry strips.

Details

• 16-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips independently
• Drips administered include insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours/week
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
• Drip experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone required
• Epic charting experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration
