Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of recent experience in general and vascular ultrasound for a 12-week assignment in Brandon, FL.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound unit with a 450-bed facility
• Unit is staffed with approximately 10 ultrasound technologists across all shifts
• Procedures include abdominal, gynecological, venous, arterial, carotid, and small parts ultrasound
• Equipment used includes GE Logiq E9 and E10 systems
• EMR: Meditech
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday through Sunday
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in general and vascular ultrasound (allied candidates must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months)
• Proficiency in general ultrasound and vascular ultrasound required
• Active license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• Two professional references required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Radiology staff wear black scrubs
• Travelers are expected to work holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but recent and continuous experience is strictly required
