Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital position requiring 2+ years of OT experience and an active KY or Compact license, open to first-time travelers.

Details

• Inpatient and outpatient OT setting within an acute care hospital
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Day shift position, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Rotating 36/48-hour schedule: alternating weeks of 3x12 and 4x12 shifts (84 hours per two weeks)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active KY State or Compact OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience required
• Current Driver's License with address matching permanent address required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: 1 Charge Nurse or higher, 1 supervisor; both must be from within the last year
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Must be willing and able to commit to the 84-hour biweekly rotating schedule; inability to accept this schedule may result in cancellation
• Up to 7 days of RTO will be considered, but must be disclosed upfront — no changes will be accepted after an offer is made
• Holiday coverage is required; travelers must work at least one major or minor holiday per contract
• Orientation is held on a biweekly basis
• Travelers who apply to this facility may only be considered for one position at a time
• After working one year within the system, travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Travel pairs are accepted on a limited basis; paired travelers will not be placed on the same shift or unit
• Any license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
