Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and PET imaging expertise for a travel assignment at an outpatient oncology cancer center in Staten Island, NY.

Details

• Outpatient oncology cancer center setting focused on PET imaging
• Adult and geriatric patient population with primary oncology diagnoses
• Approximately 12 patients per day
• Primary procedure is PET scanning; PET/CT experience preferred
• Equipment includes GE Omni; GE and Siemens experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
• Monday–Friday day shifts, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
• No shift rotation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
• NMTCB certification required
• NYS DOH License required (license must be active and valid; license required if applicable)
• PET imaging experience required
• Proficiency in venipuncture, blood draws, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Familiarity with isolation precautions and appropriate PPE
• ARRT (N) and ARRT (PET) certifications preferred
• PET/CT experience preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Previous charge technologist or management experience preferred
• Hospital experience preferred but not required
• COVID vaccination required — no exceptions
• Two professional managerial references required for consideration (Charge RN references are not acceptable)
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Hard copy of license or technologist certification required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No radius restriction applies to eligibility
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer; no RTO permitted within the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Former employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Parking is available at no cost via an assigned employee garage upon badge pickup; street parking is also available
