Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Observation unit position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 3 years of telemetry experience and current Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Position is based on a 1S Observation unit within a hospital setting
- RN will be required to float to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac, and potentially the ED if appropriately skilled
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend is required
- On-call responsibilities are rare
- Epic EMR is in use and proficiency is required
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of current, recent telemetry experience required
- Must be able to read telemetry/BCRA — competency will be tested on day one
- Current Epic EMR proficiency required — refresher training or 1:1 support will not be provided
Additional Information
- Telemetry reading competency will be assessed on the first day; inability to pass will result in immediate termination
- Candidates who are found to lack Epic proficiency after placement will be subject to immediate termination — ensure Epic experience is clearly documented
- Returning Genesis travelers within the past 9 months may have flexibility on start date; all others are limited to the available start dates
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission to be honored
- 13-week contract
