Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience, including Cath Lab proficiency, and an active CA license for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

  • Works in an Interventional Radiology Lab supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses
  • Procedures include a broad range of vascular, cardiac, abdominal, pelvic, genitourinary, and neurological interventional studies
  • Cardiac Cath Lab procedures include diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, TAVR, permanent pacemaker insertion, right heart catheterization, rotablator atherectomy, and more
  • IR procedures include angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, ERCP, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and more
  • Work settings include Interventional Radiology, diagnostic and interventional cardiac Cath Lab, and hybrid OR
  • Equipment includes Siemens imaging systems; GE Innova IGS experience is preferred
  • 4x10-hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • Every 3rd weekend required
  • On-call shifts required as needed
  • Charting system experience required; any EMR accepted

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Cath Lab case experience required
  • Active CA state license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
  • Certifications must be AHA or ARC accredited
  • 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Additional Information

  • Provides technical support and performs procedures under the supervision of a cardiologist, integrating patient assessment, monitoring, and communication skills
  • Responsibilities include scrubbing to maintain a sterile field, room circulator duties, and use of vascular closure systems
  • May be responsible for mentoring and training students
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a local pay rate
  • Former travelers or staff must have a separation of at least 1 year before returning; former manager's name required on application
  • Maximum of 7 days of RTO per contract; only 1 holiday may be requested per contract
  • Holidays covered include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  • 7-year work history verification required for all candidates

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first travel assignment. American Traveler has made the entire process feel easy from start to finish.
