Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of inpatient rehab experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Reno, NV.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting serving pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Services include evaluation and treatment of gait and transfer limitations, orthotic/prosthetic training, and comprehensive wound care
• Schedule is 5x8s with varied shifts and rotating days of the week
• Saturday rotation is expected approximately every 4 weeks
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts; call requirements to be discussed during interview
• Travelers may be required to float to other like facilities based on census and organizational needs
• Epic EMR used; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• Kronos used for time keeping

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical PT experience in an inpatient rehab setting
• Active Nevada PT license required; a provisional license is acceptable until the permanent state license is issued — license required if applicable
• BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation and treatment, developing plans of care, and providing rehabilitation services through patient discharge
• This position includes direct clinical supervision of physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians
• May be asked to participate in program development and outcome measurements
• Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the contract period; major holidays include Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have a 13-week break after their last contract before returning
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration; time off will not be added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
