Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Medical-Surgical Unit position in Oregon, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Surgical/Medical-Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Adult patient population requiring pre- and post-surgical nursing care
• Night shift schedule: 1900–0730, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Floating to other departments may be required based on unit needs and qualifications
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
• Nurses are expected to initiate computerized Plans of Care upon patient admission
• Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
• If the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required
• International candidates are not eligible for this position
