Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting, requiring ARRT (M) certification and hands-on experience with Siemens and Hologic equipment.

Details

Outpatient clinic setting with a high-volume mammography focus
Primary focus is screening mammography, with a minimum of 20 screening mammograms performed per day
Diagnostic mammography exams may also be performed as the schedule allows
Daily caseload of 55 patients
5x8 hour day shifts, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, no weekends required
No on-call required
Floating to sister facilities throughout the Charleston area is required as needed
Charting via Epic

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience required
Active ARRT (M), BLS (AHA), and SCRQSA (M) certifications required
SC state license required and must be in hand prior to start — license required if applicable
Proficiency with Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension (3D) equipment is a hard requirement
Experience performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms
SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Previous permanent or PRN staff at this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; RTO submitted after the initial request will not be accepted
Unit orientation takes place on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pre-start online modules are required and must be completed before the assignment begins
Scrub colors required: any shade of pink or dark teal top with black bottom
All travelers and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and October
