Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and proficiency with Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment.

Details

  • Outpatient clinic setting performing screening and diagnostic mammography
  • Minimum of 20 screening mammograms performed per day with average daily caseload of 55
  • Primary focus is screening mammography with diagnostic exams performed as schedule allows
  • 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • May float to sister facilities throughout the Charleston area as needed
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist
  • Current BLS and ARRT (M) certification required
  • SCRQSA (M) certification required
  • SC state license required if applicable
  • SC license must be active prior to start; pending licenses not accepted
  • Must be proficient operating Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment
  • Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Facility does not allow call-offs and may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Unit orientation takes place onsite, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Scrub requirement is any shade of pink or dark teal top with black bottoms
  • Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
  • Radius rule of 60 miles applies with non-local candidates prioritized
  • Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration
  • Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
  • Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August through October
