Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring an active IN or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 30-bed Adult Intensive Care Unit
- Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on acuity
- Utilizes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000 equipment
- Charts in Epic EMR
- 3x12-hour day shifts scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Every Saturday and Sunday required plus one additional weekday shift
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to other inpatient units during low census periods
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Comprehensive patient assessment skills required
- Experience caring for septic patients required
- Experience caring for mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices required
- CRRT and Epic experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- EKG testing required for consideration
Additional Information
- Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders
- Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude, flexibility, and empathy
- Navy scrubs required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not permitted
- Orientation includes Epic training modules and one day of unit orientation
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
