Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in Washington state, working 32–36 hours per week across a primarily outpatient setting with some inpatient responsibilities.

Details

• Hospital-based setting with a mix of 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient caseload
• Schedule is 8–9 hours per day, 4 days per week
• 32–36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited physical therapy program required
• Current state PT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Experience working directly with patients in a long-term care or hospital setting required
• Strong documentation skills and excellent verbal communication skills required
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the patient population served

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, developing individualized treatment plans, hands-on therapy such as massage, therapeutic exercise instruction, and progress documentation
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members including speech therapists to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Reports patient progress and status to providers, family members, and members of the patient care committee
• Attends in-services, continuing education sessions, and departmental staff meetings
