Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring Epic proficiency, on-call availability, and weekend shifts in a high-acuity surgical environment.
Details
- Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting with access to both General OR and Hybrid OR suites
- Patient ratio is 1:1
- Shift options include Days (4x10, 7:00–17:00) or Nights (4x10, 20:00–6:00)
- Weekend shifts are required, potentially every weekend
- On-call is required, up to 5 call shifts per month, which may include weekends
- No block scheduling required
- Floating within all facilities in the state is expected; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedic/Spine, Neuro, Trauma, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, Thoracic, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, Pedi cases, Transplant, and Endoscopic Procedures
- Preferred experience with robotic surgery systems including Da Vinci and Mako Surgical System
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
- Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Core OR skills required include scrubbing orthopedic, spine, trauma, gynecologic, general surgery, urologic, neurological, and vascular cases
- Preferred skills include vascular procedures (AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR), robotics (Da Vinci, Mako), pediatric cases, and ENT procedures
- Minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff of this Providence health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must disclose the location(s) and dates of employment
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be approved
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
