Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring Epic experience and night shift availability on a rotating weekend schedule.
Details
- General Emergency Department (combined adult and pediatric) at a 104-bed short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Rotating weekends required
- Block scheduling required
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Epic EMR; experience required
- No on-call required
- Floating within the facility is expected of all travelers
- Pediatric emergency experience is preferred
Requirements
- Active WA or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency medications required
- Experience managing psychiatric patients including acute psychosis, drug overdose, suicidal patients, and psychiatric holds
- Experience with respiratory management including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and interpretation of ABGs
- Experience with neurological conditions including CVA and traumatic brain injury
- Experience with shock/trauma including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- All required certifications must be current and available for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required for standard ER RN roles
- Scrubs: any color accepted
- No parking fee
- Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem/registry must disclose the location(s) and dates worked
- Former permanent Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted but at a different pay rate
- All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be approved
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
