Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work setting is a 471-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• PACU unit covering Phase I and Phase II Recovery
• Surgery cases include Endo/Laparoscopic, ENT, General, Gyn, Neuro, Neuro/Spine, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints, Plastics, Podiatry, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Endocrine
• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 11:00–21:30
• On-call requirement: 4 call shifts per month (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts)
• Floating is required
• Charting system: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required and must be in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of PACU RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is required for all RNs at this facility
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Teaching hospital experience is preferred
• Teal scrubs are provided by the facility
• Pre-start modules are required and vary by specialty; total module time may reach up to 10 hours
• RTO is limited to no more than 10 days for the assignment; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a gap of at least 1 year before returning
• Candidates with foreign education should be prepared for additional verification
