Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital, performing a full range of echocardiography procedures including TEE, stress echo, and 3D imaging.

Details

• Work settings include adult acute care, adult outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU
• Performs procedures on patients across adult acute care, ED, and ICU environments
• Philips echo equipment utilized
• Cerner EMR — experience preferred
• 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekends and no call required
• May be required to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of echo/cardiac sonography experience required
• Required certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, and BLS (AHA only)
• Active PA or Compact license required if applicable
• Proficiency in Adult Echo, 2D Echo, 3D Echo, Color Doppler, M-Mode, TEE, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Imaging with Contrast Agents, RVIT, RVOT, and Routine studies
• Proficiency in cardiac calculations including Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area
• Familiarity with isolation precautions/PPE and procedures in ICU/ED settings
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of echocardiography studies including 2D, 3D, TEE, stress echo (pharmacologic and treadmill), bubble studies, portable studies, and cardiac calculations
• Preferred skills include 3D Echo, Bubble Study, Portable Studies, Treadmill Stress Echo, and Simpson's Rule calculations
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this assignment
• Travel pairs are accepted based on facility need; same schedule cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
