Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU) position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center in Georgia, requiring at least 2 years of experience in high-volume hospital environments.

• Progressive Care Unit (7L IMCU) in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Patient population includes Sepsis, Heart Failure, Hypertensive Emergency, Respiratory Failure, COPD, Chronic Kidney Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Substance Abuse, Status Epilepticus, and Encephalopathy
• Unit size ranges from 16–20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 12-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced situations with complex and diverse patient cases
