Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position at a Level I trauma center in Albany, NY, requiring previous travel experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Day shift position, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Rotating holidays required
• Every other weekend required
• Float pool role covering multiple critical care environments, including Neuro/Trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Active US SSN required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
• BLS and all certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience strongly preferred
• Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required
• A competency test must be completed within 24 hours of consideration — ensure an up-to-date email address is on file
• Flu vaccine is required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not accepted
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates residing in the following NY counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
• First-time travelers are not eligible — previous travel experience is required
