Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel contract in Tennessee, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:00); exact times may be discussed during the interview
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• On-call requirements to be discussed during the interview
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — no pending licensure accepted
• At least 2 years of recent OR experience required for candidates with prior travel experience; at least 3 years of recent OR experience required for candidates without travel experience
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• ADN or higher accepted for this position
• Transplant experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — no exceptions

Additional Information

• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront — RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
• If end-of-year holidays fall within the assignment period, candidates must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall during the contract, or at least 1 of 2 if only two holidays apply
• Former permanent staff or travelers must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 full year before returning
