Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract at a critical access hospital, with first-time travelers welcome and no call or weekend requirements.
Details
- Critical access hospital setting with 23 staffed beds
- Echo/Cardiac Sonographer unit serving adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, and ICU patient populations
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Procedures include 2D/3D Echo, TEE, bubble studies, color Doppler, pharmacologic stress echo, treadmill stress echo, contrast imaging, and calculations including Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain/LV volume, and PISA
- Equipment used includes GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba, and PACS systems
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- Monday through Friday day shifts, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No floating between units within the contracted facility
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience required
- ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
- BLS required
- Active professional license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Proficiency in starting IVs independently for contrast studies
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
- Candidates must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are accepted at a different rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
- Up to 6 days of RTO (or 3 consecutive days) may be auto-approved; RTO exceeding 6 days requires client approval and may delay an offer
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
- Scrubs may be any color; OR/L&D scrubs are provided
