Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a day shift travel contract at a specialty hospital in Bakersfield, CA, requiring recent Epic experience and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.
Details
- Work setting is a 47-bed specialty hospital with three operating rooms and four cardiac catheterization labs
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Epic EMR is used; recent experience within the last 12 months is required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- Recent clinical experience in OR within the last 3 months required
- Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
- BSN preferred
- Active, unrestricted license with no prior hits required
- Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
- Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards, utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams including patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective care
- Participates in discharge planning to promote continuity of care and delegates duties to healthcare team members as appropriate
- Local candidates are welcome — no radius rule applies and local rates are the same as travel rates
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for this contract
- Candidates may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
- Vaccination compliance is required per Adventist Health policy; medical and religious exemptions may apply
