Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department travel position in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of current acute care ED experience and multiple certifications including TNCC.

Details

  • Hospital-based Emergency Department, converted from a freestanding ED with expanded resources including respiratory therapy, house supervision, med/surg/ICU floor staff, full lab, and on-site radiology (CT, MRI, Echo, X-ray, ultrasound)
  • 18-bed Emergency Department unit
  • Patient ratio is typically 4:1, varying based on acuity
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 13-week contract
  • Equipment used includes LifePak, Lucas, Philips, and GE
  • EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)

Requirements

  • Active CO RN license or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ED RN experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
  • CPI certification required (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA may be accepted in lieu of CPI)
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
  • One professional reference required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

  • Typical procedures include IV placement, EKG, Foley catheter insertion, splinting, wound infiltration, wound care, medication administration, and patient assessments
  • Ideal candidates are team-oriented, positive, calm, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a large hospital setting is preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
