Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1+ year of recent acute care experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• Work in the Main OR of a 408-bed hospital with 14 operating rooms, including 1 hybrid CV OR and 1 cysto room
• Unit staffed with OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, and clinical leadership support
• Maintains 1:1 patient ratios during procedures
• Uses standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Charts in Meditech EMR
• Performs procedures including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine cases (no transplant procedures)
• Schedule runs Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM one day per week
• Weekend on-call required approximately once every 6 weeks when the on-call orthopedic surgeon is scheduled

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact), CO or compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year current hospital acute care experience
• Circulating and scrubbing experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Deliver circulating and scrubbing support across a variety of surgical specialties
• Collaborate closely with surgical staff and providers to maintain a strong patient experience focus
• Adaptability to change is essential given the fast-paced OR environment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
