Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift position in a pediatric respiratory care department in Oklahoma City, OK.

- Pediatric respiratory care department at an academic medical center in Oklahoma City, OK
- Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
- Night shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
- RRT credential required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification from AHA required within 3 months of hire
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
- License required if applicable
- All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
- Serve as a resource person to medical staff and participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and operational
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a new contract
- This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and will not negotiate start dates after a candidate is booked
