Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical RN for an Oncology floor position requiring at least one year of recent MedSurg experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on the Medical Surgical unit, specifically the Oncology floor, of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7, with experience in higher ratios required
• 13-week assignment with possible extension
• Day shift schedule, either 3x12 or 4x12 hours, working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required
• Block scheduling considered
• Uses Cerner and Soarian EMR systems

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required, or proof that licensure process is underway
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of recent MedSurg experience required
• Telemetry and IV start skills required
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Royal blue scrubs required and not provided
• Minimal RTO accepted, especially around holidays
• Accepts local candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility at a local rate
• Candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
