Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (ACU) position in a rural, culturally rich Arizona community, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and current AZ or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Acute Care Unit (ACU) setting within a JCAHO-accredited regional health center serving the Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute communities of Northwestern Arizona
- Provides care to patients of all ages across a broad range of inpatient services including medical, surgical, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and emergency cases
- Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- TCAR (Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility required
Additional Information
- Provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages, following physician orders, standards of care, and hospital policies, with the ability to work independently
- Orientation is offered on a bi-weekly schedule
- COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted upon submission of a declination form
- Fingerprinting is required prior to start and is completed during the compliance process via mail
- This facility is located in a very rural area; candidates should be prepared for a remote work environment
- Limited on-site housing may be available for approximately $600/month — availability is not guaranteed, no family members or pets are permitted in housing, and a housing application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start
- SSN is required for consideration
