Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring med/tele experience and ACLS certification.
Details
- 32-bed Surgical ACE unit (5A) serving an adult and older adult population
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Cases include trauma patients and patients requiring Heparin drips and other acute medications
- Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
- Epic EMR is used (experience required)
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active RN license — GA license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Documented med/surg and telemetry experience required, supported by a completed skills checklist
- Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Additional Information
- This is a Level 1 trauma center with a high volume of complex and challenging cases — candidates must have a background in large-scale, high-pressure trauma environments
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training is a plus
- No RTO (time off requests) approved for this assignment
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
