Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment in Fort Worth, TX.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department within a full-service hospital in Fort Worth, TX
• NICU-focused position requiring experience across ICU, NICU, and ED settings
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract
• Charting via Meditech
• Procedures performed include ABG draws, intubation assistance, nebulizer treatments, MetaNeb, IPPB, and CPT

Requirements

• Active RRT credential required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience, including ICU, NICU, and ED experience
• Must have active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics, Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• AHA or ARC certifications accepted
• Proficiency in ABG draws required
• Experience with Servo I ventilator and I-Stat preferred
• Strong customer service skills and experience working with patients across all age ranges
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures including ABG draws, intubation assistance, nebulizer treatments, MetaNeb, IPPB, and CPT
• Black scrubs required — candidates must purchase their own
• No artificial, gel, or next-gen nails permitted
• Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
• Visible piercings other than ears are not permitted, including nose rings and tongue rings
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Tuesday start dates required for this position
